What is Teeth Scaling?

Teeth scaling is a professional cleaning procedure designed to remove plaque and tartar buildup from the surfaces of your teeth, including areas beneath the gumline. There are two main types of scaling:

• Manual Scaling: This is done using hand-held instruments such as scalers and curettes to physically remove plaque and tartar.
• Ultrasonic Scaling: An ultrasonic device uses high-frequency sound waves to break up tartar and plaque, making it easier to remove. This method is often preferred due to its efficiency and comfort.
